Ambassador Jamie Durie

We are proud to announce Jamie Durie, internationally-acclaimed designer and television personality as the first official ambassador of the Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation.

Jamie is calling for Australian families to look beyond their backyard and dig deep to help save endangered wildlife. "We often here about the plight of exotic animals like tigers, elephants and orangutans which is very dire and requires urgent action, but what many of us don't realise is extinction is a very real threat in our own backyard" said Durie.

"There are less than 150 Northern Hairy-Nosed Wombats left on the planet, koalas along the east coast of Australia are in dire straits, there are less than 600 Queensland bilbies left in the wild and the list goes on."

"These are just some of the animals in our Australian backyard that are facing a very sad future so it’s vital that, as a community, we continue to fund the research programs and active field projects that help protect and re-build our endangered wildlife populations."

"The easiest way to get involved is to add a new wild branch to your family tree through DWF’s Adopt an Animal program, attend our upcoming DWF Goes Wild Fun Run (www.dwfogeswild.com.au) or become a Friend of DWF and download our fundraising kit."
